A SAFE Alert has been issued for Maricopa Police Department. This is the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The Maricopa Police Department is looking for a black female, Miriam Smith-Burks, 79 years-old, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing jogging pants and a shirt of unknown colors. Ms. Smith-Burks was last observed on May 2, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m. in the 18400 block of North Lariat Road in Maricopa, Arizona, Maricopa County. She is believed to have taken some personal belongings and may have entered a vehicle of unknown description.
